There are two ways to win Onix’s heart: patience… and peanut butter.

Lucky for you, one of those is sold at just about every grocery store. To say Onix loves peanut butter would be the understatement of the century! The sound of a peanut butter jar opening could wake her from the deepest nap, and she’ll happily volunteer as your official taste tester any chance she gets. We like to think she’s spent years perfecting her peanut butter appreciation. It’s a talent, really.

Beneath that hilarious snack obsession is one of the sweetest, gentlest souls you’ll ever meet.
Onix likes to take life at her own pace. When meeting someone new, she appreciates a little time to settle in and figure things out. But once you earn her trust, it’s like watching an entirely different dog emerge. Suddenly, she’s gently nudging you for affection, covering your face in peanut butter kisses, melting into cuddles, and making it her personal mission to stay as close to you as possible! The quiet, thoughtful girl you first met blossoms into the most loving, loyal companion.

She’s also a self-proclaimed food connoisseur with exceptionally refined taste. Milk Bones? She respectfully declines. Onix believes life is too short for mediocre snacks and only accepts top-shelf treats worthy of her expert-level palate.

Onix has done wonderfully in our dog playgroups and has been incredibly tolerant of dogs of different shapes, sizes, and energy levels. She will happily play when she’s met her match, but she’s also happy to peacefully coexist when the moment calls for it. We think she would blossom with a canine sibling, but we also know she’d be more than happy soaking up every ounce of your love & being the center of your attention!
