Mazie is the sweetest girl who needs her cuddles and people time. Unfortunately, she is currently heartworm positive and needs a foster (or foster to adopt home) that has a calm place where she can undergo treatment for the heartworms. The shelter covers all costs and is here for you every step of the way!
The shelter is too loud, too stressful, and generally too much is happening around here for her to undergo the treatment here, which means we cannot begin treatment until she finds a foster or adopter. Every week that goes by means more damage is being done to her heart and other organs while she is ravaged by these terrible parasites!
Mazie gets along best with male dogs. She does pull a bit while walking on a leash, so a harness is recommended and small children or older adults may have trouble handling her. Mazie is SO eager to please - she's a quick learner and looking for a new home that can really focus that intelligence with training, routine and enrichment!
