Mazie believes there is no such thing as too much love, and she’s on a mission to make sure everyone she meets knows just how much she adores them!
This affectionate sweetheart absolutely thrives on human attention and would happily spend her days soaking up cuddles, belly rubs, kisses, and every bit of affection you’re willing to give. Being the center of attention? That’s definitely her favorite place to be!
When it’s time for an adventure, Mazie is a lovely walking companion with nice leash manners. She already knows a few of her basic commands like sit and paw, and she’s always excited to show them off if there’s a tasty treat involved! We also have noticed she keeps a very tidy kennel, giving us every reason to believe she is house trained!
While people are undoubtedly her favorite, Mazie can be a bit selective about her canine friends. She tends to do best with respectful male dogs who match her energy level and understand that every queen deserves a little personal space now and then. (We get you, girl. ♀️) If you have another dog at home, a meet and greet will be required to help ensure everyone gets off on the right paw.
Mazie is currently heartworm positive, but don’t let that discourage you! Thanks to the incredible support of our shelter, the Humane Society of New Braunfels will cover the cost of her heartworm treatment! Our staff will gladly walk you through the treatment process and answer any questions you may have, so Mazie can focus on what she does best, being your biggest fan!
