I am currently in a foster home and not at HSNBA, if you are interested in meeting me, please contact the nice folks at HSNBA so they can put you in contact with my foster family to set up a meet & greet. E-mail HSNBA at adoption@hsnba.org, call us at: (830) 629-5287 or stop by and speak with the folks at HSNBA at 3353 Morningside Dr. to get your information sent over to my foster home. My foster family is the best and can give you more information on me.
Meet Honey!
Honey is a 4-year-old German Shepherd/Lab mix with a gentle heart and a soft, soulful presence She can be a little shy at first, but she quickly warms up and seeks out her people for comfort and reassurance. Once she feels safe, Honey’s affectionate and loving personality really shines—she just wants to be close to her humans and feel secure This sweet girl would benefit from a calm home where she can continue building her confidence at her own pace. With a little patience and love, Honey is sure to blossom into an incredibly loyal and devoted companion ✨
She is currently heartworm positive, but treatment is very manageable and typically involves a calm environment where she can rest and recover. Because the shelter is so stressful, it isn't a place we can do the treatment, but Honey can certainly go to a foster home--and we’re here to help guide you every step of the way If you are interested in fostering Honey, please speak to someone at the front desk at the Humane Society and they can help answer any questions!
If you’re looking for a gentle, loving dog to grow with, come meet Honey and see if she’s the perfect addition to your family
I have tested heartworm positive. This means I have a parasite and need treatment. While my friends at HSNBA desperately want to help me, the shelter is too stressful an environment to undertake treatment and treatment itself is very expensive. The shelter has a few options to help with treatment, and if I steal your heart you should talk with them and your vet about what my treatment is like.
